    MELANIE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!

    NAME: Melanie (Mellie)
APPROX AGE: 1 1/2 as of June 2018
    CURRENTLY LIVING AT: Foster Home

MEET ME: Melanie (who everyone calls “Mellie”) came to us from a rural shelter with her two siblings. During our initial behavior assessment, we noticed that Mellie was extremely shy and anxious – so we decided to give her some extended time in a great foster home ,while we worked with her to increase her confidence. Mellie is still shy around new people, however her foster dad says that once she gets to know you she is a total love bug! As her comfort level grows, she does enjoy playing with other dogs and toys. Mellie loves going for long walks – even better is going for jogs, so if you are looking for a jogging buddy, Mellie might be your girl!! She enjoys the sanctuary of her “den” (her crate) and even chooses to sleep in it at night. As is the case for any dog transitioning to a new environment, Mellie will need to continue with house training for the first few weeks. Whoever adopts Mellie will be a lucky family! Do you think you might be that perfect Forever Family??

MORE ABOUT ME: Mellie is current on all her vaccinations and has been spayed.
