Meet Willow, a 5 month old 25 pound female puppy who may not be all Shepherd, but is definitely all sunshine! Willow is a wonderful loving girl, who wants nothing more than a lot of petting, and maybe a squeaky toy or two. She adores people, and is eager to say 'hello' to neighbors and visitors, and give them some of her exuberant kisses. She has been very submissive towards older and bigger dogs, and very much wants to be friends, but sometimes doesn't catch subtle signals that they'd rather not play or cuddle with her. She seems as though she would do well as a pal to another friendly welcoming dog.
Willow has done a great job acclimating to living in a home, and has picked up house-training very quickly. She is crated during the day, with a break at lunch time, and she makes a minimum amount of fuss about it as long as she has a treat to chew on when she goes in. She hasn't shown much of an inclination to chew on inappropriate items, at least as long as she has plenty of dog-approved toys to have fun with. As long as she has regular opportunities to play and explore, her energy in the house is very manageable, and she will settle down and chill during calm stretches at home.
All in all, Willow is a charming little pup who with love and guidance is going to grow into an exceptional dog! She is fostered in Winchester, VA, and is waiting eagerly to find her forever home!
