Dolly was surrendered to the shelter when her elderly owner was hospitalized. She was terrified in the shelter so she has come to Fancy Cats for some TLC and a new home.
Dolly is a sweet, kind, and gentle lady with impeccable manners. She enjoys her peace and quiet, and does not mind being alone, staying near ground level and often found curled up happily, with her mice, in unexpected but cozy spaces. She refuses to either confirm or deny any rumors of snoring!
When give an opportunity for love though, she really blossoms. Sit down with offers of scritches, treats, or brushing and she will sidle right up and dive into the love as long as you can stand it.
No scratcher toy can withstand her for long, but she collects and mothers toy mice. While she is, for the most part, elegant and matronly, she still manages to sing a surprisingly melodramatic song of her people. - But only if dinner is late.
In her foster home, she has shown a great empathy and concern for younger cats, but due to being positive for Feline Leukemia Virus she would need to be homed only with other cats or kittens who are also FeLV+. She would also be perfectly happy as an only cat.
