Story: Danny was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina with Polly. Despite his rough start, Danny is a happy sweetie who loves people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. He knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with his humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Danny is just looking for someone to be his new best furend and we know that he will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. Even though he’s no longer a puppy, Danny will need an adopter who is committed to setting him up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising him both mentally and physically. He will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive!
What my foster says: Danny is a super (super) sweet young chi mix looking for a family who will take things slow with him at the start and then cherish his silly and goofy personality once he warms up! He is working on gaining confidence and being comfortable around new people and dogs, but it is very apparent just how sweet and loving he is. He has been doing great in the home occasionally playing with Danny-sized toys and taking naps on his blanket on the couch (with all the tiny toys he has hoarded). He really enjoys going for walks and rolling around in the grass. He is getting more and more comfortable with his foster brother, a 75lbs pit mix, and follows him around all over. He loves looking out the window on car rides and at home. As he continues to open up we have gotten to see more and more just how silly and sweet he is and just how desperately he craves human love and affection!
