Mete Han (pronounced “Mettie”) is a curious classic brown tabby boy with golden eyes who enjoys rubbing, getting attention, and being groomed. He is bonded to his sister, Ariel. He likes to hang out behind you on a chair or next to you on the sofa or chair arm. He is a young-hearted senior who is generally calm but also likes to play with laser pointers, “Da Bird,” and string toys, and will sometimes run up and down the hall a few times chasing who-knows-what! He loves to watch birds, squirrels, and other critters from the window, and gets excited when they get close. He sometimes plays with his sister, but also likes to do his own thing. Mete is REALLY fond of food and might even clean the crumbs off of your floor.  Mete will talk to you sometimes (but not too loudly) using cute sounds, especially when you are about to feed him. He loves to eat and competes with his sister to see who will get to the food bowls first. Mete is a bit shyer than Ariel, but it doesn’t take too long for him to get to know and love you.

Meet Ariel and her brother Mete! They were surrendered to one of our rescue partners due to allergies in the family. These two love each other very much, so we are looking for a special person willing to adopt them both. Ariel is the more outgoing member of this duo and loves attention, and is the smaller of the two and has green eyes. She will sit by you and meow rather sweetly until you give her some attention. She sometimes seems like she is prancing when she walks, and she really loves to be groomed. She loves to watch birds, squirrels, and other critters from the window, and gets excited when they get close. Ariel is in LOVE with food and is a good candidate to be the pre-wash cycle of your pots, pans, and dishes. Mete is the shier of the two and can be scared around sudden movements and loud noises. He's bigger and has pretty gold eyes. He would love to find an owner who will give him a lot of attention and love to help build his confidence. Do you have room in your home and your heart for these adorable siblings?

Ariel and Mete are currently at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter awaiting their forever home.
