Apollo is in foster care. He is NOT at the shelter. Please email his foster mom with any questions at lje1987@gmail.com

Apollo is a very handsome brown tabby who was found as a stray and needs a patient and loving home! He is initially very scared of people, and it takes time for him to get comfortable, but he is very curious and loves to play. He occasionally still gets startled and will hiss or bite, so he is not recommended for a family with children, and needs an owner who can take the time to get to know him slowly while he gets used to people. His favorite things to do are to explore and to play with his feather toys and also to tear up plastic bags and tissue paper.

PAWS, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society, is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue organization. PAWS pulls at-risk animals from the City of Philadelphias animal control shelter and adopts them out, either from our adoption center (located at 2nd and Arch Streets), from one of our adoption locations at area PETCO and PetSmart stores, or from our network of foster homes.

PAWS is dedicated to saving the lives of Philadelphias homeless, abandoned and unwanted animals and is working to make Philadelphia a city in which every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home.

When you adopt a pet from PAWS you truly save a life!

PAWS' Adoption Center in Old City is open Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please reference this animal's ID NUMBER when inquiring about this pet.

All animals adopted from PAWS are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. Adoption fees are as follows: $60 for dogs, $50 for cats over 6 months of age, and $75 for cats under 6 months of age.

Please visit our web site, www.phillypaws.org, for our full calendar of adoption events throughout the region, and for more information on adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.
