**Spicey is urgent because she has been looking for a home for over 18 months.**

Meet Spicey, a beautiful cat looking for a home! She's a 3-5 year old Torbie who was found as a stray. Spicey is a sweet but independent girl. She's not overly needy, and will do just fine on her own if her owners work long hours. She's a very easy, low-maintenance cat whose favorite hobbies include hanging out in her cat bed and window-shopping for potential new families.

Spicey has been living in one of the community cat rooms here at the adoption center and accepts her feline room mates, but she takes some time to get used to new cats. She would prefer a home without dogs or small children. 

This wonderful cat keeps getting overlooked and has now been waiting longer than any of her cat friends at PAWS. She deserves a home full of love and comfort. Could she be the one for you?

PAWS, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society, is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue organization. PAWS pulls at-risk animals from the City of Philadelphia's animal control shelter and adopts them out, either from our adoption center (located at 2nd and Arch Streets), from one of our adoption locations at area PETCO and PetSmart stores, or from our network of foster homes.


PAWS is dedicated to saving the lives of Philadelphia's homeless, abandoned and unwanted animals and is working to make Philadelphia a city in which every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home.


When you adopt a pet from PAWS you truly save a life!

PAWS' Adoption Center in Old City is open Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please reference this animal's ID NUMBER when inquiring about this pet.

All animals adopted from PAWS are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. Adoption fees are as follows: $75 for dogs older than 1 year, $110 for puppies under 1 year, $50 for cats over 6 months of age, and $75 for cats under 6 months of age.
