Sasha is a sweet, energetic dog who is looking for her forever family. She is a smart dog. She knows her name and "sit", "down", and "come" commands. She is treat motivated and willing to please. Sasha is good with kids but is a bit unpredictable with other dogs. Thus, we are recommending a home with no other pets. Sasha is very active and would love to be someones walking or running partner. A home with a large back yard for her to run around in would be ideal for her. She is crate and house trained. Please consider providing Sasha the loving home she deserves.

Foster Home Feedback

January 13th: Sasha had a great Christmas and Santa rewarded her for good behavior this year! She got a rawhide bone, two boxes of treats and a new leather collar! Sasha is enjoying playing in the snow and loves to be outside running and jumping through the giant snow piles at the end of the driveway. She also loves to play fetch but sometimes loses the ball in the deep snow, but she always is able to find it after a little bit of digging. Sasha loves her daytime naps and loves watching all the new TV shows with the guys. She is looking forward to spring when she will be able to go on runs again.

September 15th: Sasha is doing great and is having a great time enjoying the last couple of days of Summer.  She loves when the neighbor girls come over and take her on a jog.  She also is loving her new collar that she got at the store the other day, red with diamonds!!  Sasha is geared up for the Football season and has become a big Steelers fan!  She loves watching all the football on Sunday with the guys!  As winter is approaching Sasha plans to spend as much time outside as she can but she is also getting excited for the snow.

June 12, 2010 - Sasha is doing great up here in Grand Forks.  She loves all the jogs she gets to go on and loves to play ball in the park. She also enjoys relaxing and laying on the couch watching TV.  Sasha is cheering on the USA in the World Cup. She also loves to go for car rides and stick her head out the window. She loves when we have bonfires and meet all the new people.

Sasha is a great dog and very loving and loyal! GO USA!!

March 17, 2010 - I got the privilege of spending a couple of hours with Sasha at adoption days this past weekend.  She is a GREAT dog and will make someone very happy.  She loves to cuddle and give kisses and hugs.  She did ok riding in the back of my SUV on the way there and back to the kennel, she cried a little but that may be because she wasn't able to move freely around the vehicle since I put up a pet partition in the cargo area for my own dogs.  Once I started talking to her she calmed down and just looked out the window. She will also make a great training buddy for someone who runs but she also knew when it was time to calm down and relax.  Who ever is lucky enough to adopt this girl will truly be blessed.

November 16th -  Following is feedback from the staff at the boarding facility where Sasha is being cared for:  Sasha is doing really well. She is such a great dog. Sasha LOVES to play ball. She likes it the best when there is more than one ball to play fetch with. This way, she can drop the ball on the way back to you and you already have thrown another ball for her to go get. Due to her older age, she does tire a little more quickly than she would like when playing fetch. Sasha knows how to sit, lie down, is potty trained, and we are working on heel and come. She loves to please and loves attention, so both of these commands are fairly easy to work with her on. Sasha prefers to be with people instead of other dogs, but we are trying to teach her that dogs can be her friend too. Sasha was saved by 4 Luv of Dog Rescue from being euthanized and was adopted out twice. Both times she was returned and it was never her fault; they simply did not have time to care for a dog. Please consider bringing this great dog into your family, she would love to be your friend.

August 13th Volunteer Feedback - I took Sasha to adoption days at PetSmart. She was a very good girl on her best behavior. Sasha made sure to give as many kisses as she could and take advantage of all the belly rubs. She got along fine with all the other dogs, and she loves people of all ages!

Sasha went for a walk with my lab mix and they walked very nicely together, one on each side of me. Both dogs then flopped down on the kitchen floor together and appreciated the air conditioning.
