Foster Home Feedback

June 14th - Spot is 100% housebroken, he paces by the door when he needs to go.  He sleeps in his kennel at nights without making a fuss and kennels up when you ask him to, unless he's already fallen asleep on the couch, then he needs a little extra encouragement to move to the kennel!  He LOVES to play fetch and loves his tennis ball so much that I need to hide it from him at times so he'll settle down.

Spot is a bundle of energy and needs plenty of exercise and gets a little stir crazy on rainy days.  Spot has such a sweet personality that he gets along with so many different types of dogs, big, small, even grouchy.  Spot and my (sometimes cranky) cocker spaniel initially got into a few spats but now Spot avoids conflict when my dog is giving him attitude.  Spot has made a best friend out of my Chihuahua and the way they play is so hilarious I could watch it for hours!  Spot does very well in the car, and sits in the backseat and eventually falls asleep and sleeps for most of the ride.  I think Spot would do best with a fenced in yard.  Spot needs someone willing to provide him with outlets for all of his energy!  He does well with older children but may be too rambunctious with babies or toddlers.  Spot does so good with other dogs and I have never seen him be aggressive.  Spot is just a happy go lucky dog and he is so easy to love.

February 25th - Spot is doing well at my house.  He is almost completely potty trained with regular outside visits and paces by the door when he needs to go out (most of the time).  He is a high energy dog and loves to play fetch and wrestle with his foster brothers.  He gets along well with other dogs and doesn't show any aggression.  Spot is very high energy and needs lots of exercise, and then he will be content to lounge on the couch with a rawhide.  Spot did well with my 5 year old niece and I think he would be good in a house with kids, but that was only a short visit, so I will keep you updated on how he does with kids.  Spot sleeps in the kennel okay, he cries for about 15 minutes usually, sometimes more, and he keeps his kennel clean.
