Foster Home Feedback

December 16th:  Morgan has been doing great at my house for the last week.  He plays well with my 4 large breed dogs and respects the cats.  He hasn't had any accidents and sleeps through the night in his crate after about 2 minutes of whining :)  He's a very obiedent dog but needs a little brush up on his leash manners, you can tell he knows what he's suppose to do but sometimes he gets so excited!  Morgan would LOVE to find his forever home this holiday season and he's crossing his toes that his forever home has a playful friend for him to romp around with.

September 30th: Morgan had a big week! He started his first week of obedience classes, and he did awesome! He heels well around other dogs, and he knows sit, down and stay. He has also mastered the "leave it" command. Morgan went to his first day of daycare, and he played very well with all the other dogs. Good boy, Morgan! He sleeps well in the kennel every night, and does not play too rough indoors. He tries to play very gently with my cats, and so far they just ignore him. He has never had an accident, and he never tries to mark anything inside or out. He is not a very dominant dog. He never growls if you try to take his food away. He rides nicely in the car, and will actually go to sleep in the back seat. He rarely tries to climb into the front, even if I get out of the car. Morgan does very well with kids. He rolls over on his back and expects belly rubs from them, or he sits nicely while they pet him. He is one sweet, goofy boy waiting for his forever home!
September 24th: Morgan is a very sweet, medium-energy, gentle dog, and he loves everyone. He does well with dogs and cats, assuming he is supervised and not allowed to get too excited and chase. He is friendly with all people, and I would trust him around kids as long as he learns not to jump. He accepts hugs and lets me put my head on him, and he doesn't care if I touch his feet or teeth or tail. He never growls around food or toys. Morgan is very treat motivated, and it's easy to teach him new things. He does well on walks. He also likes to run next to my bike. Morgan sleeps in a kennel at night, and he goes in there when I'm gone during the day. He doesn't like this, but doesn't bark very much, either. I live in a townhome setting, and my neighbors say they don't hear him. He knows a lot of commands such as sit, down, wait, stay, OK, shake and high-five. He's content to lie around the house when I'm home. He doesn't demand constant attention, and he never chews anything that's not his. He's also never had an accident, and he never barks when he sees other dogs outside. He's a great dog!
August 7th:  Things have been going great with Morgan.  He hasn't had any accidents in the house.  He plays and plays with our Welsh terrier, and when they are separated he is quite happy as well. He doesn't like the crate very much, but he slept there all night without too much complaining. He has been good in the backyard, without signs of wanting to get out of the fence. Although we haven't left him alone back there since we know he can scale 8 foot fences!

We gave him a bath and brush him often and he hasn't give us any trouble. Our dogs are non-shedders so that along with his size have been the only things we have had to adjust to.

Our other dog doesn't pay much mind to him, but that's just how she is. He is a great dog and someone will be very lucky to get such a great dog!

July 22 Volunteer Feedback - Morgan was excited when I picked him up, but after a brisk walk he settled down nicely and even fell asleep in the car.  He knows how to sit and shake and he was extremely attentive when I brought out the treats. He was very polite when taking the treats. His leash manners are fairly good.  He doesn't pull you around, but he could use work on heeling.
