Age: 5 years
Size:  Medium
Adoption Donation: $150
Other:  Spayed female, vaccinations current

Luna is approximately five years old.  She knows many tricks such as sit, lay down, drop it, come, stay, and shake.  She is completely house and kennel trained.  Luna is very friendly and loves attention, being cuddled and played with.  She loves “talking” and riding in the car.  Like your typical Husky she likes to run so needs to be on a leash or tie out when not in a fenced in area.  Luna does best with older children and can be unsure around new dogs.

Foster Home Feedback

December 2010:  Luna made an appearance at Adoption Days and did a really good job. She is a little timid around new people and dogs but warms up quickly. She is your typical husky and loves to go outside to play in the snow as well as go for walks. She is smaller for a husky and probably weighs closer to 40 lbs. She is very lovable and enjoys the attention she received at adoption days. She would make a great addition to someone who is active and enjoys getting outdoors. She is non-aggressive but would do better in a house without younger children. All this sweet girl wants is a loving home for her to relax in and really open up and be herself. Please help LUNA find her forever home!

September 29th: Luna is doing great! She has been enjoying getting outside in the cooler air, and thinks it's pretty exciting when she sights a squirrel in the tree. She's a big fan of taking rides in the car, even if it's to the doctor to get her shots. Luna has a great temperament. She stays calm when we leave the house and is non-destructive. Her big smile when we get home lets us know how happy she is to have people who care about her. At bedtime, she goes right to bed after scarfing down some peanut butter treats, her favorite.

Since she is not into playing with other dogs, she walked around finding people to pet her, and just exploring the park. Phyllis does get excited when you are doing anything with her but can be calmed down if you work with her. If you aren't moving around she will just lay down and rest until you leave the room. Then she has to follow you because you might need her. If you're looking for a fun dog to cuddle with, Phyllis is the dog for you.

July 18th: Phyllis is doing great. She is learning the rules of the house and that we have things under control and don't need her help with the other dogs. She seemed happy to see Phoebe back (her pound-mate) and they get along well. She has learned how to shake so we can add that to her growing list of tricks. Her energy level is coming down now and she only gets excited when she know we are going for a walk or when we come home after being gone. She didn't get it and and seemed to be playful and came right back but the cat didn't like it. She will also bark if she sees the cat a few houses down through the back fence. We can get her to stop, her bark is very low tone not very loud, but I don't think a home with cat would be a good idea.

She really likes to follow us around and will lay on top of us if we let her when we sit down. I've been calling her my little helper because she just wants to please and do anything to make us happy. She is not into playing with the other dogs. Orion (her foster dog brother) tries very hard to get her to play she just ignores him.

She's not been food aggressive at all while she has been here. I can take the food bowl away or touch her while she is eating and she is fine. All the dogs get treats together and eat next to each other without a problem.

Anyone looking for a fun little helper that will keep you warm at night, Phyllis is the dog for you.
