Sisco is awesome. She rode nicely in the car with Oscar (he was in a kennel, but screaming like an idiot and she still liked him) and had her tongue in my ear much of the way. VERY nice dog.

Foster Home Feedback

3/29/12: I've said it once and I'll say it again- Sisco is easily the best animal I've had the pleasure of working with. She is ever-eagar to please her people by learning tricks, playing with her baby, and cuddling for snuggles. After minimal training she has taken to walking on a leash very well and is even learning "turn left", "turn right" and to sit at crosswalks for traffic. She will still pull on the leash a bit, but mostly when she sees something or wants to do her business; with a quick snap of the leash she will fall back into line beside you. She is no longer sleeping in her kennel at night, but instead she is sleeping on a pillow at the foot of our bed. At bed time all we have to say is "Sisco pillow" and she's down for the entire night. We are so pleased that she's not had any accidents and is able to be free to roam the house at night if she wants! After a day at the adoption clinic last weekend we learned that Sisco can deal with other animals just fine, but she needs plenty of time to be introduced and make friends; dog parks are probably not a good idea for Sisco, though. She is gentle with our four year old and loves to play tug of war with him, but as soon as they are done, she plops down on the couch and snoozes away. We've trained her to only accept treats in her food bowl and also to not enter our kitchen while we are cooking to keep her from under foot. In the short time we've had her she has put on a good deal of weight that was much needed and is well on her way to being a very healthy girl.  We are so glad to be a part of her second chance at finding a forever home. We will be sad to see her go, BUT we will be happy when she finds the perfect family to love her forever.

3/14/12: Sisco is such a puddle of love it is not even funny. Of all the dogs I've trained and worked with, she is easily the most easy going and relaxed. She's still pulling a bit while on walks, but only when she is overly excited. Sisco is learning her commands well and even enjoyed a bath last night. Right now she is curled up on the couch snoozing away- just like she owns the place.

2/17/12~ volunteer feedback: Sisco is a very sweet girl. She is so beautiful! Solid black with white markings. She even has black spots on her white feet - so cute! Her coat is very shiny. She was a little timid at first and crouched low to the ground. Then when I knelt down she kept trying to give me kisses, wagging her tail the whole time. She is a very gentle girl and responds to the sit command. She seems pretty easy going and tries to connect with people. Love her!
