Toby is a little love!  He is a bundle of fun and loves to play with people and other dogs.  He is great with the pack of dogs he lives with, but needs a savvy, experienced dog owner to help him get acquainted to new canine buddies.  Toby likes to go for walks, and does great on a leash.   He will make someone a super loyal little companion!

Toby appears to be a corgi/terrier mix, and retains the corgi characteristic of keeping track of everything and everybody in his environment, displaying the corgi huge intelligence in a mini package. He is not shy, but is inquisitive in new situations. He is happy to cozy up on the couch.  He knows “sit” and “sit pretty’ from his previous unknown living situation.  He is housebroken and quiet in his crate (whines for a few seconds and then gets quiet).  He has cute white feet, and a white patch on his chest, and very white teeth. He loves walks, and is learning to go on a loose leash.

Toby had a tendency to get protective of his people.  He would prefer an experienced adopter who will let him know from the very beginning that lots of people can love him and give him treats, and that strangers aren't out to get his people!  He does well with other confident dogs.  He really is a great, sweet, amazing, smart-as-a-whip little dude .  He has been in foster care with me for over nine months now and is seriously one of the easiest fosters I have ever had. I am a savvy dog owner with training experience though, and in the wrong hands my little guy will try to take advantage of the inexperienced owner.
