We welcome your questions. Due to high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond immediately. Your patience is appreciated.

If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it is in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application
As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, ARF does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants.

Willa is a sweet, gentle and quiet 2-3 year old girl who is looking for a forever home with family members who will always love and protect her. This angel was brought to ARF with her four puppies (known as the Fab Four) after finding herself on deathrow in a Kentucky pound. Willa and her babies made it just in time, and while her kids were adopted out right away, Willa needed some time to rest! She's enjoying retirement after being such a good mama. She is now spayed and says she's done with all that puppy nonsense!
Willa is a gentle soul. Our groomer and vet both believe she spent a lot of time outdoors, and was possibly a barn dog. That said, she really enjoys being in the yard, just laying and letting the wind blow through her fur. Though she has never, ever showed ANY aggression. After a couple of days in her foster home, she really opened up and is getting better every day! Lots of love (and treats) make her feel safe and now she greets her foster dad with a big smile and a wagging tail when he comes home from work!
Willa is housebroken and loves her crate. She likes to have a safe place to relax, but more and more is finding herself in the center of the household to hang out with her people. She’s even found a few moments to sneak onto the couch or bed for a snooze! She looks so relaxed and comfy that we just had to let her be! =) She’s even starting to play with a toys and bones!
Willa likes to company of other dogs as well, and does well with her foster brother and sister (a beagle and a cattle dog mix). She is fantastic on a leash and is light as a feather when going for walks.
Willa requires a home with a completely fenced, physical yard that she can spend parts of her day in. She would be the perfect companion for someone who does not have any young children or grandchildren, as she doesn’t like to be too spooked.
If you fit the above description, and are looking for a soft, sweet and gentle companion for your home, please fill out an application today!
http://arf-il.org/application.html Willa is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, house-broken and spayed. Her new family will be required to enroll her in a basic obedience course of their choosing. Willa's adoption fee is $200

If you’re invited to meet an animal, plan to arrive on time or early, as we cannot hold animals.
All household members need to be present at time of adoption, including dogs.
We appreciate your cooperation.
