Foster Home Feedback

1/7/13:  Meet Zygy! He is a four year old purebred Pug. He tops the scales at a whopping nineteen pounds and is currently on a strict diet to help him lose the weight. The vet also suggested that he has nasal surgery done to help widen his nostrils This will help him breathe better, so he isn't panting and snorting. Obviously losing some weight will also help him in this area. He came into the rescue with what was thought to be versa of the front left foot but after being vet checked it turns out that it's nothing at all! It looks to be a birth defect or an old injury. It doesn't bother him at all and he gets around great! He might get some arthritis in it as he ages. We have zero carpet in our home and he never looses his footing. Another thing with Zygy is that he is prone to infections in penis sheathing. This is a very simple task and it is done at home by yourself every few months. Considering these minor imperfections, he is an amazing dog! He is 100% house broken. He has only had one accident on his kennel and that was his very first night with us. He also cried a little at first in his kennel on his first night, but he has been quiet ever since. He gets along great with the four Boston Terriers we have in our home. He loves to lay on your lap, go for car rides, take bubble baths, and play with his toys. He's also a huge fan on treats, but like I mentioned earlier, those are given in moderation because of his weight. Zygy also knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and he most defiantly knows what, "Want to go potty?" means! He would be a great dog for anyone who has kids or dogs. He has a very positive happy outlook on life. He would make anyone a great companion.
