Spike is glad to be in our care and wants a home that will love him and spoil him...life until 4 Luv of Dog had been hard enough for a lifetime!  Spike came to rescue with untreated demodex mange.  It's now over a month later --he's in the clear and ready to find his forever home!

Foster Home Feedback

2/16/12: Spike is so handsome now that all his hair has grown back...and I have to say he has made me a pug lover...it is like having a comedienne in the house.  He's so curious and totally a busybody...unbelievably affectionate...and who can resist that cute pushed in face that snorts like a little pig!!  Personality plus!! He is a petite Pug...less than 17 pounds...and when we got Spike he had a very bad urinary infection so he had many accidents, plus it was -15...pretty hard for retraining him to go outdoors.  But getting him healthy and neutered has taken care of his troubles.  He has not marked in our house for over a week now.  When I am gone I usually kennel him and he quiets down quickly and is quiet and calm until I return home, greet the resident dog, then walk over and open the kennel door...then he is all wiggles and excitement!  He settled into life into our home very quickly and loves to nap on your lap as you watch TV or knit.  When he naps he sometimes snores, but at night he must totally relax as he usually sleeps quietly.  At night he literally wedges himself into your back or sneaks up on my sleeping husband's pillow, using his neck as his own pillow!  Last weekend Spike spent time with our two grandchildren ages 1 and 3 and he was absolutely P E R F E C T with them.
If you add Spike to your home I can guarantee you won't regret it!
