Lucky & Mimi

LUCKY & MIMI ARE COURTESY LISTINGS, not CPA rescues. Please contact the Agoura Animal Shelter or Karen at 818-917-7714 for more information or to schedule a meeting with Lucky & Mimi.

These two adorable, super friendly chihuahuas deserve a better life in their senior years than they've had to date. Lucky, the lighter one on the right in the first picture, is 11 while Mimi is 9.  They have been in a No Kill Rescue/Boarding facility for most of their lives, living in an outside kennel on gravel with igloos for their house.  Trees are so overgrown they did not see sunlight.  We're sure they did not get much attention.  Several years ago, volunteers would haul dogs from the shelter 15 miles every other weekend to a Doggie Daycare Center in Malibu.

The no-kill rescue/boarding facility was closed down and the only place this bonded pair could go was the Agoura Animal Shelter.  They deserve to spend the rest of their lives in a real home with a real family and real love. It's amazing that having been raised the way they were, they still have huge smiles, enthusiasm for life, and love of people.  Lucky and Mimi are slightly larger than a teacup chihuahua and would make a wonderful addition to your family.  You can see them at the Agoura Animal Shelter or contact Karen at 818-917-7714.

Rescue dogs and cats are cared for in foster homes while they await adoption.  If you are interested in meeting a particular dog or cat, please contact the listed volunteer to schedule a meeting.

All pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoptions.

Local adoptions only; no out of state adoptions.  Prospective pet parents must complete an adoption application, available online at http://www.concernedpeopleforanimals.org/Adoption.html.

The adoption fee is $150 for dogs and $120 for cats, which helps cover the cost of spaying or neutering, vaccinations, medical care and tests, flea control and de-worming, microchipping, and the care of the animals for as long as it takes to find a new home.

Concerned People for Animals is an all volunteer, non-profit organization. Our goal is to eliminate the euthanasia of healthy pets through spay/neuter assistance and animal rescue/adoption. Please visit our web site for further information about our group's activities and fundraising efforts. http://www.concernedpeopleforanimals.org
