Save A Friend P.R.’s President
Tours Pittsburgh:
A Heartwarming Visit
We are thrilled to share the news of a special visit by Marla Farren, the President of Save A Friend P.R. (SAFPR) to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Marla had the incredible opportunity to meet and spend time with 19 of our “island“ dogs who made it off Puerto Rico and found homes or refuge in the Pittsburgh area. Yes, some of these amazing animals are available for
foster
and
adoption.

This being the third visit for Marla in the past three years, is a testament to the dedication and compassion that drives our mission to find loving homes for these wonderful animals. Marla’s personal connection with these rescues highlighted the impact of our efforts and the positive change they bring to both the animals and their new families.
|
During her time in Pittsburgh, Marla also took the opportunity to meet with two non profit rescue groups that play a critical role in helping us place these dogs,
Heart of Glass Animal Rescue
and
Distinguished Dobermans Rescue, Inc.
We can’t thank them enough for working with us. Collaborations with like minded organizations strengthen our collective ability to make a lasting difference in the lives of animals in need.

Marla also got to visit with
Greentree Animal Hospital,
many thanks to them and Dr. Kelly for including SAFPR in a recent donation drive. They gave SAFPR a fantastic goodie box full of much needed sweaters, blankets and toys. Marla enjoyed catching up with
Healthy Pet Products
staff too. They always have just the right products to keep our pets healthy and for helping new pet owners figure out the best way to feed their new pet. We appreciate their donations!
|
As we reflect on this visit, we are reminded of the power of community and the shared commitment to creating a better world for our furry friends. The bonds formed between SAFPR and the Pittsburgh community continue to grow, ensuring that more rescues find their forever homes. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Marla and everyone involved in making this visit a memorable and uplifting experience. Together we are making strides towards a future where every animal has the love and care they deserve.
