Pet Update: Meet Dug; He loves to run!
|
Dug was rescued in Puerto Rico in December of 2020. He was adopted in early 2021
during COVID.
Jeff (Dug's Dad) said "I had been looking into adopting a rescue dog for a while
and none of the shelters I contacted ever returned my calls or emails. SAFPR was recommended to me and they were prompt and professional with their responses.
Now in
2024, things are going great! Dug is super happy, and has a large back yard to run around in, multiple other doggy friends to play with, and gets all the pets scratches and cuddles he wants."

|
|
When Dug is not running; he wants all the attention and will force his way in for cuddles even when there isn't room.
Jeff's advice:
"If you are thinking about adopting;
Do it!!! (SAFPR)
They were a great non-profit to work with and were able to help me find my perfect dog!" And, oh yeah, you should consider getting a bigger chair!
This Pet Update is based on an interview with Dug's owner and Lynn Rey, Hickory Creek Pet Lodge Owner and SAFPR Board Member.

Action Item: Please share Arthur's story. Let's get this boy a great home of his own!
|
Arthur
has been homeless without any interest or applications for four years; it is heart breaking.
He LOVES everyone he meets, and wants nothing more than
to
cuddle and kiss a family of his own. Because of his big “scary” head…dogs like Arthur often get overlooked when they are in the
rescue system surrounded by so many other dogs.
SAFPR wants
to help increase his chances at finding a home, by raising money to send him to a board and train facility.
Parkway Pet Lodge
has taken Arthur in to teach him basic manners, recall, and work on teaching him how to be the best boy!
Arthur will be waiting for his new home in two short weeks if anyone is interested in adopting him see Heart Of Glass.
We are raising money to pay the board and train bill and keep him there an extra week if possible!
