Rusty is a shy boy, so it takes him a little time to get comfortable in a new environment, but he’s a young guy that just can’t resist playtime. He is very gentle and sweet and will let you know when he is ready for pets by rubbing up against you. He may take time to build trust, but he will soon show you that he loves head scratches. He may be wary of anyone petting him before he’s ready, so he’d be best around older children. 

He’s fairly quiet with medium energy and would do well on his own or with friendly cats. He is great at scratching on his cardboard scratchers or scratching post and has excellent litterbox manners. He is just as happy to play with a feather toy or sit on a cat tree looking out the window.
