This sweet girl was the runt of her litter and was going to be thrown away in the trash!!  Fortunately for her a good Samaritan was able to rescue her.  Dixie lived with her rescuer for five years until he had to move and wasn't able to bring her with him.  She stayed for a while with her owner's mom but was too much for the resident elderly greyhound.  Dixie is a very lucky girl though because the family has a friend who is a dog trainer and he agreed to foster her so she gets to work on her manners and obedience skills on a daily basis!   She is very smart and highly trainable!   We know this is true because Dixie is CGC Certified ( https://www.akc.org/products-services/training-programs/canine-good-citizen/) and she has a CAT (Coursing Ability Title) (https://www.akc.org/sports/coursing/).   She is looking for a home where she can be her family's favorite girl.  Could that be YOU?
