Molly's original owner purchased her with the intent to breed her, and she''s had at least one litter. Her original owner did not take good care of her, and saw her more as a source of income. Thy would keep her outside and allow her to wander freely off the property. A concerned neighbor looked out for Molly, and picked her up when she was running lose on multiple occasions, and returned her to the family. The final time she returned Molly, the family no longer wanted her. The caring neighbor took Molly in, and she lived as an inside, family dog for the next 4 years, and had a good life.

Molly has lived as an inside dog and learned the rules of home life She was house trained, had regular vet care, slept in bed with her mom at nights, and was loved. Sadly, the neighbor got sick recently and was hospitalized, and could not longer care for Molly. A family member took Molly in to help, but kept her in an outside pen so that neighbors and other family member could have easy access to help with Molly's care and feeding. It was supposed to be a short-term plan, but that is no life for a dog, even short term. Molly's owner has not returned home, so Worthy Dog was contacted to help this sweet girl who was being kept in an outdoor pen.

Molly is now safe and sound and settling into her new foster home. She's been spayed, fully vetted, and is healthy, but a little on the thin side.  Her foster mom is getting to know her, but describes her as cuddly, and says she loves to give kisses and be held. She's being fostered with 2 other dogs, and is good with other dogs.  She likes her crate and sleeps in there all night with no issues. She had a few accidents, but has only been there a few days, so she's still settling in. We discovered she is pee pad trained, so you can avoid accidents inside, while you transition her to going potty outside.
