Check her out!  Six-month-old Gigi arrived at the shelter as a stray.  Shortly after intake it was noticed that we was not bearing weight on her back right leg.  She was taken to the vet and an x-ray revealed a fracture of the tibial crest and her leg was splinted.  We have consulted with our vet and an orthopedic vet and the consensus is that there is no need for surgery at this point.  Her leg will remain splited and periodic x-rays taken to make sure things are healing as they should but there is no reason to believe that this will affect her quality of life at all.  Here are a few things we know about Gigi so far:  1) She walks well on leash, 2) she is awesome in the car, 3) she is a major snuggle bunny and sees herself as a lap dog, 4) she's doing really well on house training, 5) she's got the cutest little snort, and 6) she is fine with being crated.  There are so many really, really good things about Gigi that we, quite frankly, can't believe how fortunate we are to have her as an Ambassador.  We feel that she is highly trainable and will make a great family dog.  We look forward to updating Gigi's bio as she settles in and shows us more about who she is and the kind of family she's looking for.  Could it be you?
