HI - I'M ROCKY! I'm a sweet 7-year-old male Pit Bull Terrier in need of a new home! I lost my home because my owner is in the military and had to leave the country. Before that, I was reportedly with an owner who punched me and kicked me with steel toe boots. Despite all of this, I am a great ambassador for my breed! I get along well with other dogs, especially submissive ones, and do well with older kids who aren't too rowdy. I love women and do fine with men but take a bit longer to warm up to them based on my early life experience. I walk well on a leash, with a little pulling, and I know how to sit, stay, and shake! I am housebroken! I'm also very cuddly and mellow, and I love to snuggle. I'm a loving, loyal, and protective dog, too. I do have a few quirks: I have a little anxiety, and some minor allergies, and I will eat socks and underwear if you leave them out for too long! I would do best in a home with a single person, a couple, or a family with older kids. I would probably do best with another dog for company as well, though that's not a necessity. My ideal adopter will be easygoing, mellow, and at home a lot as I love company. I weigh 82 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me?  We also offer trial adoptions!  Please  email for an application.
