Sweet Felix. This boy truly is so so sweet and endearing. He has had a tough start in life. He came to us from a hoarding situation - where he lived with about 60 other dogs who were all left to their own devices. The home caught on fire and the majority of the dogs passed away in the fire. Felix survived but clearly has been affected by this trauma.

Felix has come a long way. He has learned to love his leash walks and is a great walking companion. He takes time to warm up to new people but once he trusts you he is a lovely and affectionate boy, who will ask for pets by putting his paw on your arm. You'll need to be patient to reach this advanced level of affection from him though!

    From his foster mom:

Felix has been an absolute delight to foster. He's really calm and likes to observe what's going on before participating, so he will need someone who is patient and will let him go at his own speed. He absolutely LOVES playing with other dogs and when he gets the zoomies, look out!! Once he trusts you, though, prepare to be on the hook for lots of pets and kisses. He's great on walks, no issues with being on the leash and he's potty trained; not even one accident in the house so far. Sleeps all night in his crate, too. I leave him out (not crated) when I'm not home and he's had no issues. He is a chihuahua mix of some kind, but he's more medium-sized than small, around 25-30lbs. No issues at all with my cats or any of my other dogs. Can't say enough good things about this sweet boy!

He will do best in a home with a secure yard and another dog that will play with him. He wants to romp and have fun. He is a bit scared of bigger and very energetic dogs and will do best with a smaller dog.

He is vaccinated and chipped. He will be neutered soon. His adoption fee is $395.

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
