Meet Allie Mae, also known as Allie!

Allie is a chunky loaf of love! If you are looking for a mature adult cat who is calm, easy-going, and affectionate, she is your gal! Allie enjoys cuddling and loafing on the couch with you as your Netflix binging partner! She is a social and loving cat who seeks out human attention, loves being petted, sitting in your lap, and spending time in the same room as her humans. She is not a very active kitty and prefers to lounge in front of a window and occasionally will come down from her cat tree perch to bat around some toys.

Allie has been fostered in a home with cats and dogs. She is fine as a solo cat or peacefully cohabitating with another calm, independent cat that won't bully her or a cat-friendly, gentle dog. She has not met any young children, but given her sweet and easy-going personality, we expect she would love respectful kids whom she can snuggle with and shower her with love.

Please note that Allie is on a special prescription food for urinary crystals/stones. Allie came to ARWOB last year in very bad medical condition, in pain and depressed. She had to have bladder surgery to treat bladder stones, and has been on the prescription diet to help prevent the formation of urinary crystals/stones.  She is fully recovered from the surgery and has purrfect litterbox manners.

Allie was originally adopted from ARWOB in 2015 but the family gave her up to their grandfather, and she lived with him and his cat for 5 years until he passed away. His daughter took in Allie and her cat-brother but, unfortunately, Allie's bladder issue and pain was ignored until she started peeing blood and needed bladder surgery. Sadly, Allie and her brother were taken to a local San Diego shelter on 9/2021 and never disclosed her medical condition. The shelter contacted ARWOB, we took her back, raised funds for her surgery on 10/2021, and restored her health and broken spirit. Since October 2021 Allie has had zero issues with crystals or any litter box or health issues. It's now 08/2022 and her one year anniversary with our group is coming which is very sad since she is such a great cat but we are happy to say in a whole year under the right food her crystals have and will continue to stay a bay making sure Allie is happy and healthy with no medical problems.

Please submit an adoption application online at arwob.org if you would like to spoil Allie and give her the loving furever home she deserves from the rough journey she has had.
