I'm handsome Santiago. I came here on January 15th. I'm a 2 to 3 year old boy. I have long black and white fur: so handsome. Soooo handsome. What? Oh, yes. Right. I'm best in a one cat household. I want to bask in your attention without distractions, without those other not-as-great-as-me cats. Just you and me. Some catnip. Maybe a treat. A warm lap. It's a date!
This sweet boy had adopters lined up but when we tested him for feline leukemia and feline aids like we do all our cats, he was positive for feline Aids (FIV). The latest studies indicate that Aids kitties can lead normal lives and have the life expectancy of other cats. They can even coexist with other cats without the risk of spreading it if it is a peaceful environment. They usually have no signs of illness but best not to be exposed to illness because their immune system is comprised. It's best for Santiago to be in a safe home --not our cattery. Can you save this kitty? * Our kitties are: Spayed/neutered, combo tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, up-to-date on vaccines, treated for parasites, and most have microchips. Our adoption fees are low. Most are $125. Our kitties over three years old are generally $100.
