Here is my story: Hi! My name is Yolo and I am a 3 1/2 year old, male, Dachshund mix, weighing 22 pounds. I need to lose another 3-4 pounds but I've slimmed down from 26 pounds already! I was adopted from a local shelter when I was only a year or so old. I loved my family but they were not experienced with dachshunds and needed to surrender me back to the shelter after 2ish years. :( They said they couldn't control my barking. Imagine that, a dachshund that barks!! I am a good boy in my foster home bc they are doxie people. I am totally crate trained and silent while in there. I do bark but it is easily controlled. Like most dachshunds, I am sweet, loyal, playful and stubborn! I'm tall for a doxie so not a shorty! I love my human foster sister, she is 11 and very. very dog savvy. I love playing with the dogs my size but I am intimidated by the big dogs here. I bark-bark-bark at them and that is usually the only time I bark that it bothers my foster mom. I would be best suited to a dachshund experienced home and I would love a playmate! I like children but would prefer older children 12 yrs and up. I'd love it if my new family wanted to take me for long walks or even go hiking! I can keep up! If you think I sound like the dog of your dreams,
