Don't let Biscuit's dainty stature or pretty party dress fool you - she's actually quite the athlete! She loves to chase a ball:

    A Little Bit About Me

If Biscuit were a cookie she'd be a lemon bar - sweet with a little bite. She loves to be held and cuddled and stroked, but only AFTER you've been properly introduced and gotten to know each other. She expects a little wooing before she gives you her heart. She's old fashioned that way. Go too fast with her and you just might taste her tartness. But once she decides you're the one, she will adore you!

Because she can be snappy with anyone not in her circle of friends, she should live in adults only home and visitors should be advised to let her make the approach. Better yet, let her feel safe in her crate when you are entertaining guests.

Biscuit is not a fan of routine handling for things like vet exams or nail trims. She can be quite dramatic in expressing her disapproval. You'll want to advise your vet of this and slowing acclimate her to accept gentle handling.

One way to start building your bond with her is to take her to training classes. Start with Small Dog 1, and then try Tricks or Nose Works. She's quite treat motivated which will make training easy and fun.

Once this little Chihuahua feels safe with you, she will love you forever...and that's a sweet ending.
