|Pet ID #:||Carol|
Carol is a very quiet easy to handle love bug And would be great for someone without shepherd experience. She is good with most dogs. I don't believe I've ever heard her bark! She is missing her tail. It's mostly a nub. At some point in her life she was chasing her tail and biting it until she was causing injuries to herself so amputation was the way to go. Since being with us she's been completely fine and she's a favorite at our farm!
She came to our group after being found as a stray in Georgia. We tried to locate an owner and tried to track her history back. She did have a microchip but it was not registered. It traced back to the county shelter. We were able to look back at the shelter's website and find her previous photos where she did have her tail. Their bio stated that she was chasing her tail due to anxiety (which she has never shown with us) and it would be best to be amputated.
When we received her, she had marks on her back legs from what appears to be where she was tied by a rope. It was an old injury and had maggots in some of the areas. We were able to have her vetted and cleaned out and although she has scars now, she was able to heal. She came to us being emaciated. We tried to locate a previous owner but was unsuccessful.
She would thrive in a home where she could just have a quiet place to relax and hang out with her family and pack. I have never seen a mean bone in her body! She is just a sweet sweet doll!
If you are looking for a quiet companion who requires very little exercise then this is your girl!
