Charley is an adorable orange and white short-haired tabby, born around August 14, 2014. Charley loves affection. He is very talkative but not in a loud way. Charley has a chirping purring absolutely adorable sound he makes when conversing with his foster family. He was a little shy when he first came into his foster home, he had been somewhat neglected, not harmed in any way but also not given the amount of attention he clearly craves. Now Charley rushes up to whomever comes to see him, chirping and purring and confidently embracing the attention he so deserves. Charley does well with other cats but would require a slow introduction. Charley is very bonded with his two kitten foster siblings, Svetlana and Cooper. He would love to be adopted with one or both of them but would also be fine as a single cat or companion of a resident cat(s). Charley is more human-focused than other-cat focused. Charley does seem to have some fear of dogs, he is very watchful of our gentle cat-friendly dogs and has not been introduced except watching them through a window, mostly because he clearly has some fear and needs more time. Although we believe he would be ok with gentle cat-friendly dogs, we are not really sure at this time. Charley loves sitting on his cat tree gazing out the large window. We have very much enjoyed getting to know this sweet, gentle, talkative and super cute dude. He will make a wonderful addition to most any loving home.

If you are interested in adopting, please follow the instructions below to expedite your application:
    1. Fill out an online application available through our website (www.yolospca.org) or through this link: Online cat application form
    2. Please specify which animal you are requesting on the application by noting the "NAME" of the animal and the Internal ID.
    3. We will email or call you if we need more information; since we get many applications and are volunteers, we may not contact you immediately.  You may email yolospcafoster@gmail.com if you have additional questions.

All of our felines have been altered prior to adoption. Kittens have been given their first shots of FVRCP, adults are up-to-date on vaccinations, and all cats have are Feline Leukemia tested (negative) and micro chipped. The fee to adopt is $90 for kittens or $60 for adults over 1 year (the fee helps cover these costs and the cost of the microchip registration).

The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All of our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. For more information about this animal, please email yolospcafoster@gmail.com. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org.

We are still accepting applications on this animal; we do remove the pets from our site once they are adopted.
