Archie was born on March 10, so he is about 3 1/2 months old. He is a short-haired, beautiful black cat (neutered) with super soft fur. Archie is from a litter of 6 kittens, born in Winters to a very sweet, but not-yet spayed neighborhood kitty. He has been handled and loved by adults, young children and teens since birth.

Archie is extremely playful – he loves toys, and chasing and wrestling with other kitties. He is extremely social – he gets along well with other cats and kittens, and especially with people. Archie is an absolute LOVE with his foster family – he purrs when they walk in the room, he likes to cuddle, and sleeps right next to his people. He really likes a good neck and cheek rub, and seems to actually listen to humans when talked to. He has been around his foster family’s older dog but isn’t totally comfortable with him yet. He eats well and uses his litter box with no problem.

At some point in his young life, Archie broke his right rear leg before coming into foster care. Thanks to the Yolo County SPCA and UC Davis Veterinary Medicine, he was able to have two needed surgeries – he is now fully healed and good as new. While he recovered from his surgeries, all his siblings were adopted so he is the last in the litter to find his forever home.

Since Archie is so social, he would do best in a home with another cat(s) or kitten(s). Alternatively, he would probably do well on his own if adopted into a household where the humans are not gone all day - so he wouldn’t be lonely.

If you are interested in adopting, please follow the instructions below to expedite your application:
    1. Fill out an online application available through our website (www.yolospca.org) or through this link: Online cat application form
    2. Please specify which animal you are requesting on the application by noting the "NAME" of the animal and the Internal ID.
    3. We will email or call you if we need more information; since we get many applications and are volunteers, we may not contact you immediately.  You may email yolospcafoster@gmail.com if you have additional questions.

All of our felines have been altered prior to adoption. Kittens have been given their first shots of FVRCP, adults are up-to-date on vaccinations, and all cats have are Feline Leukemia tested (negative) and micro chipped. The fee to adopt is $90 for kittens or $60 for adults over 1 year (the fee helps cover these costs and the cost of the microchip registration).

The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All of our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. For more information about this animal, please email yolospcafoster@gmail.com. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org.

We are still accepting applications on this animal; we do remove the pets from our site once they are adopted.
