Meet Herschel. He is loving, fragile little goofball (a great description given to him by his first foster mom). Herschel is a tall, skinny Chihuahua mix who's another one of our UCD Vet School Fracture program alumni.  He weighs about 4 lbs., and is likely about a year or two old.  He had two broken front legs and a broken foot, but since his surgeries at UCD he's healed up very well, and now loves wrestling with his Chihuahua housemates at his foster home.  He has a slight limp due to left front foot tendons still being a little loose, so he won't be the one you run a marathon with, but if you want a sweet, cuddly lapdog who loves to give kisses, Herschel is your man.  He loves his crate and is fully housetrained, so he's very easy to take care of.  He gets along great with other dogs and currently lives with six others.  We're not sure about cats since his foster home doesn't have any.  Herschel would do best in a quiet home without small children, since he'll always be a bit delicate.  He does enjoy being outside in the yard to sniff around and play with his roommates, but really loves to be inside cuddling and spending quiet time on your lap.  Will you adopt this unique little guy and be his forever home? If you think Herschel would be a great companion in your home, please fill out an online application at https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/). Thank you.
