    A Little Bit About Me

Bandi was rescued by a good Samaritan in Saudi Arabia. This was done at great personal risk and some expense. Bandi had been a street dog, his ears were cut off and he was being taken to the square by several men to be stoned to death. Fortunately, a western teacher interceded just in time. What is most amazing is that after all he has experienced he is still a very happy, dog who likes people although can be a little cautious when meeting new people and dogs. Bandi seeks attention from people he knows, enjoys toys and tennis balls and loves playing with other dogs that he is comfortable with. He does best with dogs his own size who have an active play-style and like to chase him. His previous guardian stated he is not particularly good with small dogs. Bandi's greeting skills leave something to be desired. He can be fearful when meeting new dogs and can be reactive. Careful, slow introductions are a must. He is a beautiful sight to behold while running at full speed. Bandi can be a little overwhelming with small dogs, so he should be monitored and his play-mates should be carefully chosen.

He will also require lots of exercise. Bandi needs at least two long walks per day. He is interested in balls so teaching him a reliable retrieve will go a long way in giving him the exercise he needs. Bandi needs to go home with older kids, his previous guardian stated he is nervous around small children. He was lucky to escape a terrible fate, and lucky is the person who adopts this wonderful dog.
