Nana is 8 years old, spayed, up-to-date on all shots, and heartworm/flea/tick free.  She is a very sweet and smiley girl, as evidenced from the photos.

In general, she is still pretty nervous, but will let you come near for a pet or belly rub.  However, since she comes from an uncertain background, she is prone to pacing in the home and scratching doors/walls.  

She is crate trained, and enjoys sleeping and taking meals from the comfort of her crate.  She generally does not eat right when you put her food out, but will come back to it when she is ready.

Since Nana is a high stress dog, it is recommended she go to a home without any small dogs or young children.  I have a younger pup at home with her now, but you can tell my other dog's playfulness is annoying to her.  However I think she would do well with another relaxed or older dog in the home--as well as an older child who understand boundaries.

Nana does not tolerate being on a leash (though we have tried breaking this) but LOVES being outdoors and sniffing and rolling around in the grass, therefor a secure, fenced in backyard is a necessity.

Nana is a really great dog who will need patience and understanding as she builds her trust, but would be a great addition to a quieter home.
