|Pet ID #:||Aspen|
Aspen came to us from Fairfield County Animal Control. They reported that she was aggressive and I asked them to let us try to help her. She came in with another white male German Shepherd who was her friend and companion.
When she got here, we quickly realized that she wasn't aggressive at all. She was just petrified of being in the shelter and was trying to protect her friend.
She VERY quickly settled in and showed her true personality. Shepherds do not do well in shelter environments and will shut down very quickly and that was the case with this sweet girl.
Once she decompressed in our facility her personality truly started to shine.
She takes a little time to get to know you and once she does, she is very sweet and will make a very loyal companion. She is good with other dogs. cats are unknown but we can test upon request. She would be best with older children who will respect her. She is very laid back and doesn't require a lot of exercise. She would love a home where she can lay next to you and just enjoy her senior years.
