Little Miss Fern is a true Golden Girl.

Full of personality and a love of life, this 8-10 year old spunky gal is always up for a good time. She is a true nature enthusiast and just about always has her nose to the ground out on walks. But what Fern really loves is treats! She’s quick to make friends with everyone she meet, especially if they have some yummy snacks for her.

Fern has gotten along with all the other pups she has met, both big and small, and but she isn't the best at making kitty friends. She is the perfect mixture of a mellow napping buddy and an adventurous stroll taker. She has done very well in her foster home and is both house and crate-trained.

While Fern is a happy go lucky girl now, she found herself with the SPCA after she was found as a stray with a double hernia and 5 organs in the wrong spot. But thanks to our great partners at the UC Davis Vet School and Hospital, Fern is all healed up and ready to go. She smiles like nothing was ever wrong and she is now a normal, healthy girl searching for love.

Fern would be the perfect smiley girl for just about any household, so if she sounds like a wonderful addition to your family, fill out an adoption application here: http://bit.ly/1PIWjIA

We also have special discounted adoption fees for Chihuahua mixes, at $100 for Chihuahua mix puppies and $50 for Chihuahua mix adults.
