Ernest is black domestic long hair male cat who was born in 2015.  He is a sweetheart!  Ernest loves attention and will ask for it with a teeny squeak. He also likes to hop on an available lap for snuggle time.  Take out a brush and he will come running to get groomed.  He even tolerates a pedicure with no complaints.  Ernest is currently living with other cats and dogs.  He gets along well with all the cats but gives the large rambunctious puppy a wide berth.

While Ernest will eventually be a fabulous buddy, he does need time to warm up to a new home with new friends.  After he and his friend Gretel were surrendered after a 3-year relationship with their adopted father, it took a little over a week for him to relax in his new foster home.

Ernest loves his sister Gretel and it would be great if they went to a home together. However, we think they could also do well separately.

If you are interested in adopting, please follow the instructions below to expedite your application:
    1. Fill out an online application available through our website (www.yolospca.org) or through this link: Online cat application form
    2. Please specify which animal you are requesting on the application by noting the "NAME" of the animal and the Internal ID.
    3. We will email or call you if we need more information; since we get many applications and are volunteers, we may not contact you immediately.  You may email yolospcafoster@gmail.com if you have additional questions.

All of our felines have been altered prior to adoption. Kittens have been given their first shots of FVRCP, adults are up-to-date on vaccinations, and all cats have are Feline Leukemia tested (negative) and micro chipped. The fee to adopt is $90 for kittens or $60 for adults over 1 year (the fee helps cover these costs and the cost of the microchip registration).

The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All of our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. For more information about this animal, please email yolospcafoster@gmail.com. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org.

We are still accepting applications on this animal; we do remove the pets from our site once they are adopted.
