Bandit is a young adult, male, neutered black Domestic Shorthair cat with small tufts of white fur in his armpit area and vibrant gold eyes. He is currently being fostered as part of the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine fracture program. A few months ago, he was brought into a shelter with a femoral fracture on his left rear leg, and a veterinarian at the school graciously volunteered to provide a surgery to help heal his fracture. He has been in recovery now for 6 weeks, and every day he gains more and more strength in that leg. It is almost impossible to detect that he even had a fracture--he is full of energy and loves to play! He warms up to people very easily, but he can be timid around dogs and cats. He always greets his foster mom the moment she comes home by giving her lots of snuggles, purring, and sometimes even giving mini-massages (aka "making muffins"). Her favorite thing about him is that he will spontaneously rub his face onto yours when he's feeling especially affectionate (which is often). When he isn't busy playing and exploring, he loves to roll up and take a cat nap right next to you.

He is an incredible kitty with lots of personality and love, so please consider giving him a permanent home!

If you are interested in adopting, please follow the instructions below to expedite your application:
    1. Fill out an online application available through our website (www.yolospca.org) or through this link: Online cat application form
    2. Please specify which animal you are requesting on the application by noting the "NAME" of the animal and the Internal ID.
    3. We will email or call you if we need more information; since we get many applications and are volunteers, we may not contact you immediately.  You may email yolospcafoster@gmail.com if you have additional questions.

All of our felines have been altered prior to adoption. Kittens have been given their first shots of FVRCP, adults are up-to-date on vaccinations, and all cats have are Feline Leukemia tested (negative) and micro chipped. The fee to adopt is $90 for kittens or $60 for adults over 1 year (the fee helps cover these costs and the cost of the microchip registration).

The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All of our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. For more information about this animal, please email yolospcafoster@gmail.com. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org.

We are still accepting applications on this animal; we do remove the pets from our site once they are adopted.
