Hashtag is such a sweet, friendly girl. She is around 18 months old and weighs about 20 pounds. Hashtag’s breed is uncertain. Her stand-up ears, long strong body, and short legs look Corgi-like. Her head and curly tail look a little like a Terrier or Basengi. Whatever her breed mix, she is wonderfully outgoing and affectionate. Hashtag is happy to meet everyone – people and dogs (although if the dog is initially too forward Hashtag will give a "stay back" bark).  We haven’t seen her with cats, but with a careful introduction she may be able to live with a cat. The only critter she seems to want to chase is birds. Hashtag loves cuddling, and really enjoys going for walks. She is gentle and sturdy enough to play with children.  She can be touched anywhere on her body without a reaction. Hashtag would likely be a terrific family dog. In scary situations Hashtag rolls on her back and is submissive. When Hashtag moved to a new foster home she was really scared for the first few days (not eating, crying), so a new home needs to giver her extra love and attention the first few days. In her foster home Hashtag has reliably peed and pooped outside. She doesn’t seem to have had any other training, but she is working on it now. Hashtag is smart, loves treats and loves human attention, so she will be easy to train.  What she loves the most is being with her person/people. What she hates the most is when her person/people leave her (she cries, but is not destructive). Hashtag has a medium energy level. She is generally quiet-not really a barker. She rides well in the car. Loud noises don’t seem to bother her. She is not a door dasher. Hashtag is a loving, awesome dog! If you think Hashtag would be a great companion in your home, please fill out an online application at https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/. Thank you.
