    A Little Bit About Me

Annie Oakley is unique in that she has extra toes on all four feet! At present, she is quite shy and when she's anxious, she's also vocal! However, in her foster home she was not as vocal once she settled in. And we found out that she is very sweet, loves sunny spots inside to lay in, favorite toy is the Cat Dancer, loves company especially when she is eating.

She needs to be kept exclusively indoors and will do best in a quiet home with experienced adult guardians who understand that patience and plenty of TLC will help Annie Oakley settle in quickly.

Begin by giving Annie Oakley a small private room outfitted with everything that she will need for the first few weeks. Make sure she has a hiding box or a bed with high sides so that she can feel safe and secure. Spend lots of time together, enticing her to play with a toy or two, and talking quietly while you snuggle and cuddle with each other. When the time comes to allow brief explorations beyond the safety of this private space, carefully supervise her "coming out party." Annie Oakley may always need a safe place to hide from time to time and when strangers come to visit. She definitely has a gentle side and will appreciate your patience, loving care, and kindness. Once she feels secure in your home, she will become your devoted and affectionate companion.
