Bio: Looking for a best friend? Ellis is a super sweet and petite adult abby-tabby, short haired cat who just wants to be your new best friend. She can be a bit suspicious of new people at first, but once she’s determined that you are ok, she will roll around/rub up against you/fall at your feet and do anything in her power to get you to pet her. Ellis was found as a stray mama cat, emaciated and doing her best to care for her 5 baby kittens in the cold and rainy outdoors. Sadly, three of her kittens passed away shortly after being found. Ellis is a loving and devoted mother whose two surviving kittens, Meredith and Maggie, are happy, healthy, and adorable (just like their mother). Her daughters already found their furever home together! Ellis’ birthday is around February 2018. She is not a big eater and prefers dry food over canned food. She is very clean, always uses her litter box, and is a fastidious groomer. Ellis is an angel at the veterinarian’s office and was awarded a gold star for excellent behavior (and was a staff favorite) when she was recently spayed at the Community Surgery Service at UC Davis. With her sweet temperament, with time and slow introductions, she will likely do fine with other animals.

If you are interested in adopting, please follow the instructions below to expedite your application:
    1. Fill out an online application available through our website (www.yolospca.org) or through this link: Online cat application form
    2. Please specify which animal you are requesting on the application by noting the "NAME" of the animal and the Internal ID.
    3. We will email or call you if we need more information; since we get many applications and are volunteers, we may not contact you immediately.  You may email yolospcafoster@gmail.com if you have additional questions.

All of our felines have been altered prior to adoption. Kittens have been given their first shots of FVRCP, adults are up-to-date on vaccinations, and all cats have are Feline Leukemia tested (negative) and micro chipped. The fee to adopt is $90 for kittens or $60 for adults over 1 year (the fee helps cover these costs and the cost of the microchip registration).

The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All of our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. For more information about this animal, please email yolospcafoster@gmail.com. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org.

We are still accepting applications on this animal; we do remove the pets from our site once they are adopted.
