Darling Abeline is looking for a special home.

This 1 to 2-year-old , 7 lb.  gal is as adorable as can be and there is no question she is one stunning little girl. She absolutely LOVES her doggie friends and would love a home with other dogs to play with her and keep her company when left alone.

While Abeline is a social butterfly with other dogs, she still is learning that humans are safe. She came to us incredibly fearful and is making slow progress of opening up. She needs a committed home that understands it might take a long time for her to allow you to touch her, and that she may never be comfortable with handling. She is such a sweet, sensitive girl that enjoys being near you and staying safe in her crate and she has gotten to the point, that once she feels comfortable enough, she will curl up next to you; but she still does not enjoy being touched.

Whoever adopts Abeline will need to take things with her very slow, be patient, and let her open up at her own pace. Having dog friends that love people has helped her feel more comfortable in foster homes, so we would are asking she only go to a home with other dogs.

Abeline has a long journey ahead of her, but we know she is worth the wait. We think the best home for Abeline would be a quiet, dog-savvy, adult-only home. She is such a special girl and she truly deserves her happily-ever-after, so if you think you would be a good match for our little girl, fill out an adoption application here: http://bit.ly/1PIWjIA.
