Dino was a stray found in the Houston, TX area before coming into SSRR. Dino is an affectionate boy who wants to play most of the time. He enjoys cuddling, and has learned his people manners. He is house and crate trained.

Dino was Heartworm positive but has gone through and complete treatment. He is now heartworm free and ready to find his forever home.

Dino is a little taller and not as stocky as most Rotties. He's a very curious boy and can access most countertops due to his height. He loves attention and being right next to (or on) his human.

Dino is good with other dogs and is fairly interested in the cat he lives with. He gets a bit excited around the cat which, of course, the cat does not like. His previous foster, with his previous rescue, said that Dino lived with her dogs, cats, and goats at his Houston-area foster, but we have not pushed the issue here. The cat typically stay upstairs and Dino stays downstairs. Sometimes there is an interaction at the baby gate at the bottom of the stairs, but he gets too excited And wants to play and the cat darts off.

Dino has not been tested around children , but he gets very excited around new things. He likes to jump and play, but like most young dogs, as long as he gets his exercise, his energy level is manageable. He loves to play with a tennis ball and his foster family is working on a frisbee. Dino needs a good-sized fenced yard so he can run and play. He is super-smart and knows many commands (like sit, down, paw, stay, off and come) as well as a few tricks. He really is an awesome dog!
