This is Calhoun! And before you worry about how he looks....let us assure you he is just fine!  When Calhoun was a very small guy he was living outside with his litter mates and mom.  They did not have any shelter and the winter was extremely cold this last year which is what caused the frost bite to set in and the reason Calhoun lost his nose!  This little dude has no clue he looks different and there's nothing slowing him down either.  He eats normally, breathes fine and is a crazy crazy puppy just like any of his siblings would be! Calhoun has a lot of energy and would love a family that would love to play with him! He lives with another dog and they love to play tug and chase together.  He also lives with three very big tabby cats and although they tolerate him they don't really love when he tries to play with them.  We really have no clue how big this tiny tank will get.  He is pretty small and looks more like a Boston Terrier really. Calhoun is a very special boy to us and to the many people that have followed his road to recovery. Now its time for him to find a very very special home of his own where he can continue to grow and flourish!  He is almost 4 months old now and he is ready to show his new forever family what an awesome little dude he is.  Oh his foster mom thinks that you should know that Calhoun's nose does bleed a little when he bonks it while he is playing or if he runs into something or if he is rubbing his face with his paws or on the grass.  It might be awhile before his skin really heals up so just know that he is still recovering.  Calhoun is up to date on vaccinations, wormed, micro-chipped and neutered...his adoption fee is $300.00 and if you think you are ready for his high energy antics please go to our website to submit an adoption application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org
