    A Little Bit About Me

Beauty is sometimes on the surface and deep within. Our Beauty is very shy of new people and experiences, but has been fostered in a home, so we know that she bonds and is more relaxed. It took her a while to express her love, but it is very strong. A quiet, experienced home, hopefully with a history of dealing with shy, shutdown dogs, will find her loving.

An adult only home would be best to help her overcome her fear.

Beauty did not respond to the dogs she met, either positively or negatively. She was previously with another dog, possibly her offspring?, and might do better if she could bond with a dog who will lead her to trust.

When Beauty is ready, one of the best things you can do for her is to take her for scenting classes, called "Introduction to Nosework", to start with. It will be some time before she gets it, but with you as her teammate and no other teams working at the same time, she is more likely to find success. Many dogs have come to find their confidence in this class. Of course eventually Family Dog Classes will help her learn communication skills between people and dogs. It will be lovely for her to find in her new life all the enrichment she has never had before.

Having her own crate will give Beauty her safe place, a very good idea for when things around her are too busy, or there are too many people, etc. At first in her new home she might learn to use her crate and gradually expand her safe space.

We would love to see her when her coat is full again and she is able to come with you in the car. Talk with her foster mom to find out what a love she is.
