Hello I’m Carl Jr! I need your help please. I’ve been with  ccrc, waiting for my forever home, for 9 months. I don’t understand it. Everyone keeps telling me what a good dog I am; that I’m a big boy with a big heart and kind soul. I have the coolest big ears ever and, I must say, a very handsome chocolate brown and white coat. I love people and giving kisses. My favorite place to be is with you; playing in the yard, on your lap, lying on top of you or sleeping snuggled up against you all night long. My foster dad doesn’t have kids so the rescue group isn’t sure how I am with kids. I’ve not had any issues at adoption events with kids but I’m told I need more work on not jumping up and mouthing so older kids may be better. I have good house manners, I’m well behaved and have been trustworthy to be alone and free in my foster dad’s house, and even better, I’ve not had a potty accident in my foster dad’s home either! As with all new dogs though, it is best to start off supervising me until I adjust and know the rules and boundaries of my new home.   I want you to know I don’t like being in a crate. They stress me out. I got so stressed I kept hitting my tail against the crate and damaged it. It had to be removed. No worries, it looks good and like I said I’ve been trustworthy. I’m also a very active boy that has lots of fun energy. So an active person or family would be great. I’d love to have a fenced in yard or long cable run so I can be free to run and play. I have played with dogs but I’ve also met dogs I wasn’t a fan of. If you have a dog, great, I’d just need to meet them first please. As for the kitties, I like to chase them so a home without kitties would be necessary. I enjoy going for walks too. I need more training on my leash skills but don’t worry I’m very smart and like to learn, especially if treats are involved! Speaking of treats, I am very gentle when taking them from your hand. I’m told people call it Soft Mouth! I’d love someone willing to work with me and teach me all the things that will make me an even more perfect dog. It would be fun! Oh and don’t forget the car rides. Love them! I get excited and like to say hello to everyone who goes by.
