Meet Lucy. Lucy is an adorable and cuddly female 4-month old puppy, looking for her forever home.  She is likely a Chihuahua mix with some other small breeds mixed in.  As an adult she will probably weigh 10-15 pounds. Lucy is part of the Peanuts gang of 5 puppies rescued by Yolo SPCA (her puppy siblings Sally and Rerun are also still available for adoption). When Lucy first came to us at the age of 5 weeks, she was the shyest of the puppies and wouldn't come out of her crate.  With the help of her foster home, numerous SPCA volunteers, interns, and socialization events, Lucy has had many positive experiences meeting all kinds of people and dogs to help bring her out of her shell.  Over the past 3 months, Lucy has made incredible progress. Now, although still on the shyer side, she enjoys meeting new people. Lucy prefers to be wherever her human family is, frequently sitting nearby to be picked up or happily crawling into a lap to be cuddled. Lucy likes playing with her puppy siblings and the adult dogs in her foster home, but when Lucy meets a new puppy or dog, she needs to do it very slowly as she tends to get easily stressed by this process.  Lucy would also probably do better with a dog sibling who, at least initially, can respect her space. Lucy sleeps quietly in a crate at night and is doing well with her housetraining. She has not been around cats, but because of her size, with a careful introduction, she would probably be fine with cats. Like all young puppies, Lucy will benefit from ongoing socialization and training. If you think Lucy would be a great companion in your home, please fill out an online application at https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/. Thank you.
