Meet Journey. She is a fun-loving female Labrador Retriever mix. Journey appears to be about 2-1/2 years old. She is looking for a family or person who is up for adventure! She loves to hike and run around. Journey is good with other dogs, house broken and she knows basic commands. Journey is always ready to play and at times can be a bit too enthusiastic for small children, but she settles down easily. Journey was removed from her prior home after two other dogs attacked her. Her lacerations are healing well and she seems comfortable with other dogs, despite what she went through. She was slated for euthanasia at the County, but she was such a nice girl, they asked Yolo SPCA to help find her a forever home. All our dogs are in foster homes (an advantage to adopters because we know the dogs). We do not have a shelter to visit. Because of coronavirus health advisories, our adoption events on Saturdays at Petco are on hold. But, if you submit an application we will arrange for you to meet dogs you are interested in that would be a good match. Our goal is to make the best match possible for the dog and for the human/s. Having our dogs live in foster homes gives us the opportunity to learn about each dog's personality and behavior. We give you as much information as we have about each dog based on our observations or information we’ve received. We rarely know with certainty the breed or age of our rescue dogs. Yolo SPCA dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heart worm tested, current on vaccinations, and are being treated with heartworm prevention and flea prevention. Adoption fees for dogs more than one year old is $150, and for puppies under one year old is $200.00.
