Dodger is a sweet, and very strong boy who loves everybody. He was surrendered by his owners because they didn't want to deal with a yeast infection on his skin. This is a very treatable condition from which Dodger will soon have recovered. The infected areas are dry patches of skin on his back and near one eye. They are healing and have new hair growth coming in. You can almost not see it anymore. He still a rough patch on one knee and one elbow that may or may not heal perfectly. But we think he is beautiful anyway. Dodger did have his upper and lower incisors removed due to infection but you can't even tell unless you open his mouth. He has no trouble eating. It's very unnoticeable. Dodger is one giant, loving lap dog. He’s happy to romp and play, go for walks and for car rides or just cuddle up on the couch. He does very well in the car and walks nicely on a leash. He is crate trained but would prefer to sleep in a doggie bed on the floor (or in your bed if allowed!) Dodger is housebroken and sleeps very well through the night with no accidents. He is good with cats but has only been around them under supervision. (He likes to lick them on the head.) His foster parents never leave cats unattended with dogs when they leave the house just to be safe. So, it would be a good idea for his adopters to do the same if they have cats. Dodger has been getting along very well with his doggy brothers and sisters in his foster home. Dodger is ready to go to his forever home and would do well with other companions if his adopters have dogs and cats already.
